Travelers compare hotels and stays on metasearch and travel platforms before they ever reach your website. We help hotels and travel brands in the United States get their listings, rates and campaigns in order on Google hotel ads, trivago, Skyscanner, Expedia Group and KAYAK, we measure each channel on its own, and we tell you plainly when one does not pay off.
Metasearch engines and travel marketplaces show many properties side by side: photos, prices and a link to book. Each platform has its own account, its own data requirements and its own way of charging, so a hotel that wants to appear on several of them ends up managing several channels at once.
Our approach is to start with the data these platforms read (your property details, your rates and availability, and your landing pages) and to measure each channel on its own before spending more.
A path to your own website
Metasearch can send travelers to your site when your rates are competitive and your booking engine is connected.
Results you can compare
Without tracking per platform you cannot tell which channel produces bookings. We set that up before spending.
A limited, defined test
Each platform starts with a capped budget and a test period agreed in advance.
The names are familiar, but the setup, the data and the pricing are not the same. This is what each platform publishes about its own advertising, and what we do on our side.
| Platform | What it offers | What we do |
|---|---|---|
| Google hotel ads | Hotel ads on Search, Maps and YouTube | Hotel data, prices and bids |
| trivago | Rate Connect, with CPC or CPA pricing | Rate setup and bids |
| Skyscanner | Ads Platform with native, contextual formats | Format fit and campaigns |
| Expedia Group | TravelAds sponsored listings | Listing and campaign setup |
| KAYAK | Separate routes for advertisers and hotel owners | Route check and data fixes |

From the first audit to the monthly review: a travel campaign is not set up once and forgotten, it is maintained against a cost-per-booking target.
These are the points we check first on each platform, based on what the platforms themselves publish.
Hotel campaigns show your property in a booking module with photos, name, price and a booking link, on Google Search, Google Maps and YouTube. They need a hotel list, up-to-date prices and landing pages, managed in a Hotel Center account linked to Google Ads. Budgets are set per campaign, and Google offers several bid strategies, including maximum CPC and target ROAS. Availability depends on the country.
Independent hotels can register for free in trivago Business Studio, and Rate Connect lets you advertise your own website rates on trivago. trivago describes two pricing models: cost per click, where you pay the amount you bid for each click, and cost per acquisition, where you pay a predefined percentage of the booking value.
Presented in December 2024, it builds on Skyscanner’s native ad formats and adds an ad server and an ad manager, with contextual campaigns that do not depend on third-party cookies. Before proposing anything we check which formats are open to your type of business and market.
Its advertising offer includes Sponsored Listings (TravelAds), which give a property premium placements alongside search results, together with display, audience extension, email and social options.
KAYAK publishes one route for advertisers and a separate one for hotel owners who want to add or update a listing. We check which route fits your case and which property details need fixing before you get in touch.
It usually fits when
It usually fits worse when
In the second case we prefer to fix the foundation before opening a new channel. Businesses that often benefit include independent hotels, resorts, vacation rental managers, tour and experience operators and destination brands.
The useful comparison is not who gets more clicks but how much each booking costs. To make it fair, every platform has to be measured the same way, so the first thing we do is set up tracking correctly.
On a new channel, low volume at the start is normal. What matters is that every dollar invested can be explained.
We do not promise results or timelines. What we do describe is the order of work, so you know at every moment what is being done and why.
We review your property data and your booking engine, organize the accounts and check that bookings are recorded the same way on every platform.
We complete the details each platform reads and launch the campaigns that fit your property, with budget caps from day one.
With a test period closed in advance, we compare cost per booking and put a decision in writing: expand, maintain or stop. If a platform does not pay off in your case, we say so.
If you already work with a booking engine or a channel manager, the fastest route is to review what it can send to each platform. If you are starting from scratch, we begin with the one or two platforms that best match your type of property.
Before launch we check that booking tracking works, that rates match your website and that every campaign has a clear budget cap.
Paid travel platforms work better on top of a solid base. See our work on TripAdvisor and on TripAdvisor Sponsored Placements, on Booking.com sponsored ads, on Google Maps and on hotel and tourism SEO. For Google Ads campaigns for hotels, see our Google Ads for hotels agency page.
Tell us what kind of property you run and how you get bookings today. We will tell you, with numbers, which travel platforms are worth a test budget. The first audit is free.
